Due to this, the farming community was left in the dark and had to sell their produce to dishonest market participants for cheap prices. The farmers could opt for alternate crops including mustard, barley, gram, peas and oilseeds.
“Approved the likely anticipated water availability at the four rim-stations of 21.98 million acre-feet (MAF) for Rabi 2024-25,” the Indus River System Authority’s Advisory Committee said during its meeting on Wednesday.
