KARACHI: The largest oil refinery in the nation, Pak Arab Refinery Limited (Parco), would be closed for maintenance and inspection turnaround for about 40 days, according to a story published in The News on Thursday.
“The refinery will be closed for 38 days, beginning on October 10 and ending on November 18,” Irteza Qureshi, the managing director of Parco, stated in a previous interview with the journal.
The refinery will be fully shut down by Thursday, the official stated, adding that the shutdown procedure has already started.
With the ability to process 120,000 barrels of crude oil per day, Parco is the largest refinery in the nation and is essential to supplying the domestic market with petroleum products.
