At approximately 7:35 p.m. on Sunday, David Graham, 38, was ambushed while strolling by himself in General’s Gate, Uddingston.
Following that, Police Scotland opened a murder investigation and detained and charged a 29-year-old man in relation to the death.
When Liam Kippen showed up at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Thursday, he entered no plea to the one murder charge.
Motherwell resident Kippen was placed under arrest pending his upcoming court date, which is set for later this week.
