The renowned former ICC umpire Aleem Dar is expected to be a member of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) next selection committee.
Dar is acknowledged for his significant services to cricket over nearly two decades. He has announced his retirement from professional umpiring following the Champions One Day Cup 2024.
Sources tell ARY News that the PCB wants to include respected former players on the new selection panel, and Dar’s appointment is one of the most noteworthy ones.
It is anticipated that former cricket players Azhar Ali and Aaqib Javed will also join the committee.
Along with the head coach, Asad Shafiq will still serve as a selector.
