KARACHI: The Sindh government has announced a new grading criteria for matric and intermediate exams in an effort to modernize the educational system.
According to a notice released by the Secretary of Boards and Universities, Muhammad Abbas Baloch, Sindh will be the first province in Pakistan to adopt such a system; students will no longer receive marks and placements.
First, Sindh implements a new grading scheme for intermediate and matriculation exams.
Beginning in 2025, the new grading guidelines will be in place. Instead of traditional marks and positions, pupils will be evaluated and given grades under this approach.
The announcement also announces that the new grading system would eliminate the first, second, and third spots.
