Sport and Opta have already analyzed the 2024–25 season’s data.
However, before we reveal the answers, why don’t you suggest who you think should be at the top of our speed list?
We’ll start with the fastest player, Micky van de Ven of Tottenham, who has dominated the competition thus far this year.
In addition to being the fastest player in the previous season, the Netherlands center-back was the fastest Premier League player at Euro 2024.
Although Adama Traore of Fulham and Kyle Walker, a full-back for Manchester City, are both recognized for their quickness, their maximum speed this season is not among the best in the division.
Walker’s best pace also places him below Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn (61st), Manchester United’s Antony (24th), and Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold (19th).
Since we only rank the fastest player for each side, Tottenham striker Timo Werner, who has the same peak speed as Manchester City’s Erling Haaland (35.7 km/h), does not have a place on our chart.
Wes Burns of Ipswich is the club’s slowest quickest player, ranking just 49th overall.
