Veteran actor Bushra Ansari has spoken on the purported rape allegation at a college in Lahore, which the Punjab government is characterizing as “fabricated,” and he is pushing for a more thorough probe into the situation. If so many students think it’s true, she thinks there has to be some truth to it.
Authorities have brushed off the incident’s whole authenticity, which has caused significant outrage and bewilderment. Ansari voiced her displeasure with the way the matter has been handled in an Instagram video message.
“There can’t be thousands of students lying.”
Ansari emphasized in her video how important it is to treat student protests seriously while also stressing the demonstrators’ legitimacy. “Merely being outside the nation does not imply that I am ignorant of current events.”
