The actress, who left the program last year, has been addressing the 34-year-old Italian professional dancer’s charges of verbal abuse and harassment.
The news supported “some, but not all” of the accusations; Pernice denied engaging in “abusive or threatening behavior,” and Abbington called the corporation’s apologies a “vindication.”
Pernice expressed his delight that the most serious accusations were dropped in an interview with TV’s Lorraine.
Indeed, six have been upheld, but eleven have not, meaning that the most significant ones were not, he noted.
“As we say, I adapt with the person that will go in front of me, and vice versa,” he continued, referring to the allegations of verbal bullying that were sustained.
I felt comfortable at the moment if we decided to have a relationship of any kind while you were around, and we were both fine with it. ‘Please don’t say something to me’ has never been a big problem. The other accusation, which I acknowledge, was that I was frustrated.
