ISLAMABAD: In the new Toshakhana case concerning the alleged unlawful sale of state goods, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday granted the post-arrest bail request of Bushra Bibi, the former first lady and wife of Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
At the hearing, which was presided over by Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb, the former first lady’s bail request was granted against surety bonds of Rs 1 million.
On October 3, the wife of the PTI founder petitioned the IHC for bail in the jewelry set case. The appeal, which was submitted through Advocate Yousaf Chaudhry, said that the accusations against the petitioner were unfounded and that she was a homemaker.
