The Houston-Karachi Sister City Association’s president, Saeed Sheikh, received the esteemed One World Award 2024 in recognition of his outstanding leadership and charitable endeavors. Sheikh is the first South Asian and Pakistani-American to be recognized with this accolade.
Susan Young, President of the Sister City Associations, gave out the honor at the yearly One World Concert at Houston’s St. Thomas University.
Diplomats and prominent people attended the occasion, including Congressman Al Green, who complimented Sheikh on his accomplishment.
For his outstanding achievements, Green also gave him a Congressional Certificate of Recognition.
For his contributions, Sheikh has won numerous honors, including the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award.
