When the dancer started feeling ill on Saturday, an ambulance was dispatched to Elstree Studios in Borehamwood.
After being diagnosed with breast cancer, Dowden missed the previous season of Strictly but made a comeback in 2024.
According to the dancer’s representative, the ambulance “was called as a precaution” and she was “feeling much better” at this point.

The dancer, who has been paired with JLS singer JB Gill, did not make an appearance on Sunday night’s results program because she was admitted to the hospital prior to the filming.
A representative for the East of England Ambulance Service stated: “On Saturday, shortly after 21:00 BST, we received a call to respond to a medical emergency at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood.
They dispatched an ambulance to the scene. For additional care, one patient—a female adult—was taken to Barnet Hospital.
An ambulance was summoned as a precaution since Amy was feeling ill, according to a statement from Dowden’s spokeswoman.
