The result of the U.S. election could mean the difference between life and death for many people in war-torn areas throughout the world.
Israelis are watching the U.S. election “very closely” and are well aware of the “dramatic” impact the election would have on the Middle East and their own lives, according to Amit Segal, top political analyst for Israel’s Channel 12 who spoke to News Digital.
Although Israelis’ mood has improved since the Hamas terror strikes on October 7, he said, “the fact that there is an ongoing war with dead soldiers almost on a daily basis” is having a negative impact on the populace.
Israeli air force aircraft targeted a number of Iranian military installations over the weekend. In an attempt to prevent Hamas forces from reassembling, Israel also attacked northern Gaza. Iran has pledged to “use all available tools to deliver a definite and effective response” in response to the assault.
According to Segal, the majority of Israelis think that former President Donald Trump would help Israel fight its adversaries during this trying time.
Segal released a recent Channel 12 poll showing that Trump is preferred by Israelis 66 percent to 17 percent than Vice President Kamala Harris.
