Two laborers were killed and one seriously injured in a tragic incident that occurred while installing a pole-mounted transformer (PMT) in the Razzaqabad neighborhood of Karachi.
The incident happened as the workmen were excavating a hole for the installation that was between 20 and 25 feet deep.
The deceased and injured were taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre by rescue crews without delay. The victims’ identities have not yet been made public.
Police records state that when the landslide occurred, the workers were working on PMT connections.
