ISLAMABAD: Imran Khan, the party’s imprisoned founding chairman, announced the date of the protest to Islamabad as November 24. This decision has angered a number of PTI leaders.
Senior party leaders contacted each other after Khan’s sister Aleema Khan and his attorney made the announcement public following their meeting with the former in Adiala Jail.
They expressed dissatisfaction with Khan’s announcement during their conversations.
According to party insiders with knowledge of the situation, they talked about it and thought about bringing up the subject with Khan once more in the coming days in an attempt to convince the chairman of the PTI’s founding party to cancel.
