ISLAMABAD According to an audit study, the National Assembly Secretariat gave MNAs privilege travel vouchers totaling Rs1.16 billion between the fiscal years 2021–2022 and 2023–2024; nevertheless, there was a Rs161 million mismatch between the vouchers and the legally reported spending.
The National Assembly management reported spending one billion rupees on the reimbursement and encashment of privilege travel vouchers during the specified time, according to the Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) report.
Audit officials did note, however, that the NA Secretariat had not reconciled the actual costs incurred for the encashment of these vouchers, which were booked by the Accountant General Pakistan Revenues (AGPR) and reimbursed by the State Bank of Pakistan.
