Salman Akram Raja, the secretary general of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), asserted that at least 20 individuals died during yesterday’s “do-or-die” rally in Islamabad.
The PTI leader’s remarks follow Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s denial of the party’s allegations that its members were killed in the federal capital’s security forces’ operation. Speaking to reporters earlier today, Naqvi called social media allegations that 33 bodies had been taken to a hospital “propaganda” and urged the former ruling party to release the identities of the victims.
“In yesterday’s rally in Islamabad, at least 20 PTI supporters lost their lives. In a video message posted on social media, the PTI leader stated, “We have all of their biodata and videos.”
