ISLAMABAD: Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif, the spokesperson for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, denied the Center’s assertion on Sunday that Murad Saeed, the head of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was hiding in the CM House in Peshawar.
“They would have arrested Murad Saeed if they had seen him,” Barrister Saif stated during his appearance on the news show “Naya Pakistan.” He questioned why, if Saeed had been seen during the protest in Islamabad, the government had not arrested him.
“I believe Murad Saeed wasn’t present,” he continued.
In response to a query, Barrister Saif asserted that the PTI demonstrators lacked weapons and that police officers had opened fire on their employees. He believed that the government was leading the country in the wrong direction.
