Aunt Promises to Protect Her Nephew Twenty three year old Andreína Sarmiento rushed to the hospital after learning that her nephew had been rescued alive. She said the emotional moment overwhelmed her, and she immediately traveled to be by his side. Andreína shared that she will care for Kleiber with all the love and support she can give until her sister is found. Although she has never been a mother, she said she feels responsible for protecting the young boy during this difficult time. She explained that her sister often joked that Kleiber was like her own son. Those memories now make her determination even stronger as the family waits for more news. Child Recovering Well in Hospital Doctors say Kleiber escaped without any broken bones despite spending nearly a week trapped beneath collapsed concrete.
