The movie, which is set at an airport, centers on Taron Egerton’s character, a young TSA agent named Ethan Kopek, who is blackmailed into allowing a dangerous package to board a flight at LAX on Christmas Eve by an enigmatic traveler named Jason.
“Our movie is absolutely a kind of spiritual salute to those guys, so I really hope that they feel good about it when they see it,” the actor told reporters.
Danielle Deadwyler plays FBI agent Elena Cole in the Jaume Collet-Serra-directed movie.
The plot centers on Kopek, who is recruited by a cunning stranger (Jason Bateman) to assist in getting a hazardous package past security and onto an aircraft that leaves on Christmas Day.
