In a scene from a heartwarming film, two UAE princes discreetly paid for everyone’s supper at a French restaurant in Dubai Mall, surprising them with an unexpected royal present.
Without a formal entourage, Crown Princes Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum of Dubai and Khaled bin Mohamed Al Nahyan of Abu Dhabi made an appearance at the restaurant. They said hello to other visitors, ate in a laid-back setting, then departed without attracting much notice.
When the diners requested their bills after the supper, they were informed that the princes had already paid for all of the people in attendance, thus they had nothing to pay.
The total, according to restaurant employees, was AED 30,000, or around Rs2.3 million.
