complained to Apple after a fictitious narrative about a high-profile murder in the US was created using the tech giant’s new iPhone function.
Apple Intelligence, which was introduced in the UK earlier this week, aggregates and groups notifications using artificial intelligence (AI).
The AI-powered synopsis this week gave the impression that News had reported that Luigi Mangione, the guy detained after killing healthcare insurance CEO Brian Thompson in New York, had committed suicide by shooting himself. He hasn’t.
According to a company spokeswoman, Apple has been contacted “to raise this concern and fix the problem.”
Apple chose not to respond.
