KARACHI: Commuters experienced inconvenience as a result of the Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen’s (MWM) sit-ins over the circumstances in Parachinar city, which is part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Kurram region.
Beginning a day earlier, the protest sit-ins persisted on Friday, obstructing important thoroughfares and causing commuters to scramble in the morning rush.
More than 130 people have died in the fighting in Parachinar, and there have been reports of more than 100 children passing away as a result of the city’s medication shortage.
Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, a spokesman for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa administration, has nevertheless denied the district’s child mortality.
Kurram, a 600,000-person tribal district close to the Afghan border, has been a hot spot for conflict for many years.
