Even though a peace agreement has been reached after extensive talks between warring tribes, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has chosen to take strong action against those responsible for the assault just hours after the shooting attack on Kurram Deputy Commissioner Javedullah Mehsud.

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur chaired an emergency meeting to assess the issue following the Bagan firing incident, and the decision was made during the meeting. Among other officials, the Chief Secretary and the province’s police chief attended the meeting.

Hours after the Kurram Deputy Commissioner was hurt in a shooting incident in the Bagan region, the province administration made its decision.

According to district administration officials, six other people were hurt in addition to the DC, including four members of the Frontier Constabulary, a police officer.
