HANGU: Officials informed News on Wednesday that the first aid convoy, which had been stuck in Tal for days, has finally left for Kurram to provide relief supplies to the people living in the Bagan area of the crisis-hit region.
In the first phase, ten cars have been sent by the Fata Disaster Management Authority (FDMA) with tents, mattresses, blankets, cooking sets, and other essential supplies.
In order to provide relief supplies to Parachinar, another convoy carrying food supplies also set off for Kurram.
Within a week, two or three more convoys of humanitarian supplies would be delivered to Kurram, according to the sources.
According to the sources, the government has been reassured by the Peace Committee that the convoy will go safely and that the impacted inhabitants of Bagan will receive compensation for their losses.
