LODHRAN: According to a police spokesperson on Wednesday, a young guy who discovered his cousin was getting married elsewhere falsely reported her forced marriage.
“The young man informed that the girl was being forced into marriage,” a police official stated.
The police spokesperson went on to say, “The man, who is from Kahror Pakka, wanted to marry his cousin.”
According to the spokeswoman, the marriage was consummated with the girl’s agreement when the police arrived on the scene.
The police spokesperson added that the young man made a bogus report about the girl’s marriage after phoning police hotline 15.
Interestingly, the police have apprehended the suspect and filed a complaint against him under the Telegraph Act.
