UNITED NATIONS: Pakistan expressed worry and called for diplomatic engagement and conversation to address the issues facing the Korean Peninsula on Thursday, in response to North Korea’s most recent ballistic missile launch on Monday.
While U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken was in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, meeting with Acting President Choi Sang-mok, North Korea launched a ballistic missile into the sea.
Munir Akram, Pakistan’s ambassador and UN representative, told the UN Security Council that his nation “strongly supports the calls for revival of talks among the relevant parties” two days after the ballistic missile was launched.
