ISLAMABAD: Salman Akram Raja, the secretary general of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and Sher Afzal Marwat, a prominent politician, engaged in a verbal sparring match on Thursday, suggesting a divide within the erstwhile ruling party.
Raja questioned senior PTI leader Marwat’s “competence” to discuss party matters after the latter questioned Raja’s standing as the party’s office-holder, according to a story in The News.
In two separate talk shows from the same private television channel, each of them shared their opinions about one another, indicating that there are problems within the party.
It all began when a video of Raja’s criticism of Marwat was played. Raja challenges Marwat’s comprehension of the party’s policy issues in the video.
