ISLAMABAD: In response to Sher Afzal Marwat’s public criticism of the party’s secretary general, Salman Akram Raja, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has issued a show-cause notice to the party leader and member of the National Assembly.
According to the show-casue notice published on Sunday, the move was performed at the express direction of Imran Khan, the founder chairman of the PTI.
PTI Additional Secretary General Firdaus Shamim Naqvi sent out the letter, accusing Marwat of making “adverse and disparaging remarks” against Raja and the ongoing talks with the government, in violation of party policy.
According to the notice, Marwat harmed the party by acting contrary to Khan’s explicit instructions.
According to the notice, Marwat is completely aware of the party’s policies because he is a member of both the National Assembly and the PTI core committee.
