Talented migrants will be featured in a “celebration of resilience” at a Ukrainian festival that has found a new home in the UK.
This year, the International Arts Festival Ukraine will be hosted in Hereford for the first time overseas after being held in its home country for 20 years owing to the conflict.
“Enjoyable and exciting” was how one organizer, Sandra Zhukova, described the experience of bringing together all the performers. Zhukova escaped to the city with her daughter when war broke out.
They wanted to demonstrate their ability to “hold on and move on and save the culture no matter what,” she said.
