President Asif Ali Zardari will travel to China for a five-day state visit from February 4–8, 2025, at the request of his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping.
According to a Foreign Office statement, President Zardari would meet with Chinese leaders in Beijing during the visit, including Premier Li Qiang, President Xi, and other top Chinese officials.
According to FO spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan, the talks would cover the whole range of Pakistan-China ties, with an emphasis on trade and economic cooperation, counterterrorism and security cooperation, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and future connectivity efforts.
According to the spokeswoman, the two parties will also discuss bilateral collaboration at multilateral fora and the changing regional and global geopolitical situation.
