PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi, who is now incarcerated, emphasized on Thursday the necessity of “national consensus” in order to implement reforms in the nation, stating that no one person can handle the difficulties on their own.
“At the moment, we need a national agenda and consensus on it…incumbent rulers should think about the country with open hearts and minds,” stated the former foreign minister.
In response to the government’s failure to organize judicial commissions on events that occurred on May 9, 2023, and November 24-27, as required by its written charter of demands, the previous ruling party terminated its talks with the PML-N-led government last month.
After months of elevated political tensions, the PTI and the government led by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) began a talks in late December.
