Ali Amin Gandapur, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), declared on Thursday that a Jirga would be dispatched to Afghanistan to address the growing number of terrorist occurrences in the province after gaining the trust of the federal government.
CM Gandapur told News that Afghanistan, a nation that had suffered from warfare for decades, had an impact on KP. The border between Afghanistan and KP is more than 2,600 kilometers long.
Militants from across the border have frequently targeted Pakistan’s security personnel and innocent civilians because Kabul authorities are hesitant to take strong action against terrorists’ sanctuaries.
According to Radio Pakistan, four terrorists were recently slain in KP, including the son of the deputy governor of Afghanistan’s Badghis region.
