KARACHI: The Sindh government has restricted the admission of dumpers and other heavy trucks into the port city, particularly during rush hours, due to an increase in deadly incidents involving these vehicles in the city.
There would be a mandatory daytime restriction on dumpers in Karachi, the nation’s financial center, as per the new directives, which limit their entry from 11 PM to 6 AM.
The new limitations are being implemented in the midst of a startling rise in heavy vehicle, especially dumper, accidents that have killed people in Karachi in recent weeks.
A dumper struck Ibrahim Hyderi in the city on Saturday, killing at least three people, while a similar event in Gulistan claimed the lives of three more.-e-Jauhar Mor every day.
