ISLAMABAD: In order to give retired workers who are rehired after the age of 60 the option to continue receiving their pension or to be paid during their new term of duty, the federal government has modified its pension policy.
The Finance Division’s Regulations Wing released an official memo stating that the adjustment is in accordance with the Pay and Pension Commission 2020’s recommendations, as reported by The News.
All post-retirement employment in the public sector, whether regular, contract, or otherwise, is covered by the updated rule.
In the past, pensioners who returned to government duty would have had their pension benefits withheld or complicated.
