According to Jeremy Renner, he was struck by a 14,000-pound snowplow in January 2023 and died as a result.
In his new memoir, My Next Breath, Renner describes the aftermath of the tragedy, including how he lay on the snow, hurt, and with his heartbeat all but gone.
In the book, Renner, 54, said, “My heart rate slowed as I lay on the ice, and right there, on that New Year’s Day, unknown to my daughter, my sisters, my friends, my father, and my mother, I just got tired.”
The Hawkeye star recalled, “I died after about 30 minutes on the ice, of breathing manually for so long, an effort akin to doing 10 or 20 push-ups per minute for half an hour.”
