The Welsh musician Mike Peters, who was the main vocalist for the rock group The Alarm, died at the age of 66.
After being diagnosed with lymphoma in 1995 and then twice with chronic lymphocytic leukemia, Peter had been living with leukemia, a blood cancer, for thirty years before passing away.
Born in Prestatyn, Denbighshire, the vocalist of Just a Shadow lived in Dyserth with his wife of 39 years, Jules, who also fought cancer.
Notably, Peter, who has been active in the fight against cancer, was awarded the MBE in 2019 for raising money for cancer survivors and promoting awareness of the disease.
