A prominent member of the Khalistan movement, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, has sent a scathing warning to the Modi administration, stating that any Indian attack against Pakistan would be the end of the fight for both Modi and India.
He declared that Indian Punjab is strongly in support of Pakistan and that the conflict would result in the fall of Indian power and the creation of Khalistan, a new independent state.
In order for the world to acknowledge the Sikh community’s rightful demand for independence, Pannun encouraged the UN to legally launch the Khalistan Referendum through Pakistan. He pledged that Sikh communities in Indian Punjab would oppose Indian soldiers and set up langars, or free food kiosks, for the Pakistan Army in the event of conflict.
