Despite the possibility of conflict with India, Rabia Bibi, wearing a sparkling crimson veil over her eyes, was determined to have her wedding in a secluded valley in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
“This was also the case when we were kids, but we weren’t scared. “Neither will we be,” the 18-year-old told AFP during his ride in a “doli” wagon adorned with flowers.
“We want peace, so our life does not get affected,” the bride, who was dazzling in a scarlet robe with intricate embroidery, a bridal tiara, and gold bangles, remarked.
