Islamabad warned Friday that New Delhi’s “jingoism and war hysteria” should be a major concern for the entire world as India persisted in inciting nuclear-armed Pakistan in the wake of the May 7 missile strikes.
Shafqat Ali Khan, the spokesperson for the Foreign Office, stated during a press briefing in Islamabad today: “It is very regrettable that India’s careless actions have brought the two nuclear-armed states closer to a major conflict.”
As tensions between the nuclear-armed rivals rise following a deadly attack on tourists in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) last month, India conducted strikes on Pakistan and AJK early on Wednesday morning. Islamabad referred to the action as a “blatant act of war.”
Six Pakistani sites, including mosques and hydropower installations, were attacked, according to Islamabad.
