Because of her political beliefs, race, and the pressure from pro-Israel organizations, Antoinette Lattouf claimed that the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) terminated her employment as a fill-in radio host in December 2023.
Lattouf shared a Human Rights Watch (HRW) post that accused Israel of war crimes, which Israel denies, just hours before she was fired.
After the decision, the ABC apologized to Lattouf, claiming that it had “let down our staff and audiences” in how it handled the situation, despite claiming that her tweet violated its editorial policy.
Justice Darryl Rangiah concluded on Wednesday that Lattouf’s views on the Israeli military assault in Gaza were among the reasons the ABC fired her. He denied the presenter’s accusations.
