NEW DELHI: The Indian cricket board said Monday that the remaining Indian Premier League (IPL) matches will take place at six different locations between May 17 and June 3.
Following a ceasefire deal, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has decided to play the 17 remaining matches in the T20 event, which was put on hold last week due to confrontations between India and Pakistan.
“After extensive consultations with government and security agencies, and with all the key stakeholders, the board has decided to proceed with the remainder of the season,” the BCCI stated in a statement.
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru will play one of two doubleheaders on Sunday after hosting the reigning champions, the Kolkata Knight Riders, on Saturday.
