For trying to topple the government, a self-proclaimed “king” of Germany and three of his senior “subjects” have been detained and their group banned.

The Reichsbürger, or “citizens of the Reich,” were outlawed by the government because they wanted to create the Königreich Deutschland, or “Kingdom of Germany.”
German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt charged the organization with propagating “antisemitic conspiracy narratives to back up their supposed claim to authority” and trying to “undermine the rule of law” by establishing an alternative state.
