The Ministry of Religious Affairs has made an official written request to Saudi authorities in both Arabic and English in a last-ditch attempt to reinstate Pakistan’s private Hajj quota for 2025.
The letter begs for consideration, emphasizing that many of the impacted pilgrims are elderly and might not have another opportunity to complete the Hajj.
According to the plea, 67,000 pilgrims from Pakistan were not allowed to participate in this year’s Hajj plans due to technological difficulties and nonpayment of service provider costs. Assuring that all future regulations and timelines will be closely adhered to, the Ministry begs Saudi authorities to allow these pilgrims this year.
