Donald Trump was accused by Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Saturday of lying when he stated that he sought peace in the region during his Gulf tour this week.
In contrast, Khamenei claimed that the US used its influence to provide “10-ton bombs to the Zionist [Israeli] regime to drop on the heads of Gaza’s children.”
After leaving the United Arab Emirates on Friday, Trump told reporters on board Air Force One that “something bad’s going to happen” unless Iran acted swiftly on a US plan for its nuclear program.
Khamenei claimed that his comments “aren’t even worth responding to.” Khamenei further said that they are a “disgrace to the speaker and the American people.”
