Since the moon that marks the beginning of Zilhaj is most likely to be sighted on May 28, Pakistan is scheduled to celebrate Eidul Adha on Saturday, June 7.
The new moon will not be visible on May 27 since it will be just 11 hours old at sunset, making it too young to be seen with the naked eye, according to renowned astronomer Dr. Faheem Hashmi, who gave insights into the lunar cycle.
