KARACHI: In recognition of the excellent performance of Sindh’s public health facilities, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah announced on Tuesday that the federal government had given the provincial government Rs9 billion to establish Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) centers in Rahim Yar Khan and Rawalpindi.
Speaking to the provincial cabinet, the top executive stated that the money would also be used to rebuild homes for those impacted by flooding in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
He stated at the cabinet meeting, which was attended by the Chief Secretary, provincial ministers, advisors, special assistants, and concerned secretaries, that “Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology’s (SZABIST) and IBA institutes will also be established, for which a decision will be taken later.”
