After a six-month closure, the National Highway Authority (NHA) has fully reopened the Kaghan Highway to all traffic categories up to Babusar Top.
The route beyond Naran was frequently blocked by heavy snow and glaciers, which presented serious difficulties for both residents and visitors.
Between Naran and Babusar Top, personnel gradually removed more than 21 glaciers, according to NHA authorities.
Tourists may now travel from Babusar Top to Gilgit in around seven hours instead of using the longer Karakoram Highway route thanks to its reopening.
