On Wednesday, May 28, all banks nationwide will be closed in honor of Youm-e-Takbeer.
The Government of Pakistan has announced the national holiday in remembrance of the historic nuclear tests that were carried out on May 28, 1998, marking the beginning of Pakistan’s nuclear power.
“On May 28, 2025 (Wednesday), the State Bank of Pakistan will be closed as it is a public holiday on the occasion of “Youm-e-Takbeer,” according to a notification released by the central bank.
