Rapper Kendrick Lamar is the front-runner with ten nominations. Singer Jennifer Lopez will host the red carpet event, which will be televised live on CBS (PARA.O) and open for business at 8 p.m. Eastern (midnight GMT).
Fan votes are used to choose the AMA winners. Pop sensation Swift, who has won 40 AMAs in her career, will compete against Lamar for the top honor, artist of the year. She recently concluded the world’s highest-grossing concert tour.
