Singapore: China is preparing to deploy military action in Asia, the United States has warned. According to a senior US official, China may be preparing to tip the scales in the region with its recent moves, which include military exercises in the South China Sea and close to Taiwan.
The warning comes as trade, technology, and security concerns between the two nations increase.
Speaking at an annual security forum in Singapore on Saturday, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth made this statement as the Trump administration engages Beijing in a trade, technological, and influence battle over key regions of the world.
The speech was criticized by China’s foreign ministry, which claimed that it had “lodged solemn representations with the US side”
